Lymphoedema

Lymphoedema is a condition involving swelling of soft tissue, caused by a mechanical insufficiency of the lymphatic system.

It occurs when the lymphatic system is damaged and/or unable to absorb the normal lymph load.

The approach to help reduce and control swelling involves a combination of techniques: Manual Lymphatic Drainage, bandages, skin care and exercise.
